GM Maurice Ashley Talks to Nette Robinson at the Sinquefield Cup

The “Painted Pieces” exhibition at the World Chess Hall of Fame is continuing to turn heads and has inspired a whole host of chess/arts events in its cultural programme.  Nette Robinson is just one of the Purling London’s artists whose exhibits in the  show, have led to some artistic events and activities at the World Chess HOF.

Whilst she was there, the Sinquefield Cup was in progress, which provided an even greater buzz to the fabulous Hall of Fame and the famous Saint Louis Chess Club-home to such stars as World Chess Challenger GM Fabiano Caruana.

During a short intermission in the broadcast of the Sinquefield Cup action, Nette Robinson was invited into the studio to be interviews by Grand Master Maurice Ashley on the Purling London exhibition and her chess-inspired art work and where commentators GM Yasser Seirawan and WGM Jennifer Shahade looked on and added a comment or two.

Watch the interview, which was broadcast live during Round 7 of the Sinquefield Cup 2018 here.
